JOHN D. EWING MBA, JD, CGA, APA, BFC

John Ewing is Certified and Accredited Public Accountant, a Masters in Business Administration, a Business Finance Degree and a tax specialist. He is the Founder and Senior Tax Managing Partner of the firm. His expertise is Corporate Management, Investing and Money Management, International Taxation, Corporate & Public Accounting and Taxation and is the firm’s public speaker to many groups across the country.

He has prepared thousands of Financial Statements, Corporate Resolutions, Audited Statements, Government Representations, Corporate & Personal Tax Returns for over 21 years while serving in a public practice and was executive counsel for some of the most elite corporations in the country. He has held positions as controller, comptroller and accountant for national companies in retail, industrial, commercial, oil and gas corporations. He has also acted as defense with Internal Revenue Agencies. Mr. Ewing is now the "voice" of Bridgeway Financial Corporation conducting weekly conference calls, personal interviews and holds public speaking engagements across the nation.

He is an associate member of the American Bar Association, member of the Ambassador's Counsel and a member of the Washington State Accountants Association.

Joe H. Craft CPA, PFS, CFP

Joe Craft is a Certified Public Accountant is the firm’s Chief Supervisory Accountant and handles the preparation of financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, audit defense and representation.

His expertise also extends into estate and gift tax planning, comprehensive and segmented personal financial planning. He has prepared thousands of tax returns and held positions with Deloitte Haskins & Sells CPAs, Price Waterhouse CPAs handling tax planning and tax reporting of closely held corporations to SEC companies and was senior partner in his own tax firm. He has also been a frequent speaker on tax related and financial planning topics to large groups across the country and currently holds a position as Chief Financial Officer for Financial Destination, Inc. Joe also worked with a large regional CPA firm in their third party administration department for 2 years.  He is very familiar with the ACP/ADP discrimination testing, top heavy testing, auditing these retirement plans and can do IRS 5500s, Summary Annual Reports for the Department of Labor, quarterly participant statements, etc. He also carries errors and omissions insurance to cover this type of work.

He is an expert in sales taxes and tax representation collection matters. Joe’s experience lends himself to handling sales tax compliance in ALL states and nearly all local jurisdictions.  He currently manages the sales tax compliance for a large multi-state corporation which files in approximately 250 jurisdictions.  He is skilled at identifying which jurisdictions a business is required to file in, registering them with those jurisdictions, implementing an accounting system that will capture the information necessary to fulfill their income reporting obligations, preparing the filings for the business, consulting and representation for those who may be undergoing an audit.  Joe also assists companies who seek to undergo a voluntary compliance initiative which will allow a company to make up delinquent filings with no penalties.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has received certification as a Certified Financial Planner and Personal Financial Specialist.

Joe is also the author of “Annual Record Keeping Kit for Small & Home Based Businesses” and co-author “It’s How Much You Keep That Counts!” 4th edition.



P. THOMAS ADAMS, esq, (emeritus) BA, JD, BFC

P. Thomas Adams, Jr. has expertise in the areas of Asset Protection, Taxation of Offshore Corporations, Estate Planning, Trusts and Constitutional Law.

He obtained his law degree from the University of Idaho, Western Michigan University BA in Public Law – Magna Cum Laude and holds a Business Finance Degree. While in law school he served as Attorney General for the ASUI and was appointed to the State Board of Directors of the Idaho ACLU. Mr. Adams has extensive experience opposing the new civil forfeiture laws. He spent many years as a divorce attorney, assisting his clients in disputes over the division of community assets. As a plaintiffs' attorney Mr. Adams sued professionals, employers, businesses, police officers, sheriffs, prosecutors, municipalities and government officials. Mr. Adams sued anybody and everybody. As a result, he learned every trick known about financial investigations, discovery, money trails, collections and bankruptcy.

Mr. Adams is now pioneering "preventive law" in the areas of financial privacy, international tax law, estate planning, asset protection, offshore incorporation, trusts, non-profit corporations and private foundations and is presently practicing in the area of civil forfeiture cases, harassment suits and authoring various books and publications.

In 1994, he joined the Washington State Bar Association. Attorney Adams is also a proud member of the Asset Protection Committee of the American Bar Association.

MICHAEL POTTER, Esq, BS, MA, M.Ed, JD

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of the State of New York, a Master’s from Central Michigan University, a second Master’s from the University of Southern California and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from National University in San Diego where he was a former adjunct professor. Michael has practiced law in San Diego, California and now in Las Vegas, Nevada and is a member of the American Bar Association.

Michael has both a domestic and international business and legal background, admitted before multiple state and federal courts including the U.S. Tax Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of International Trade and the United States Supreme Court.

Attorney Potter is also familiar face to many who have seen him speak at workshops and conferences around the country that have also featured billionaire Steve Forbes, Harv Eker, Don Burnham, Zig Ziglar, Peter Lowe, Bob Thornton and Bill Bartmann and he is a frequent guest speaker for the Trump Institute. He has spoken at workshops across the USA, Canada, Europe, Caribbean and the Pacific Rim. His workshops are always an uplifting mix of inspiration, humor and practical strategies.

Michael certainly understands the need for asset protection since he himself is an investment property owner, business advisor, a well established author and attorney. As a retired and decorated Navy Captain and having served in naval aviation, joint-service logistics, surface warfare and amphibious warfare units around the world, including four tours as an executive officer and four more tours as a commanding officer, he knows the hardships and the tragedies of human life and the importance of “protecting ones assets” and long term family estate planning.

Michael now practices law in the area of integrated planning focused on business and estate planning, charitable and accelerated retirement planning, asset protection, tax advantaged wealth accumulation, debt elimination, charitable and philanthropic planning and ‘core-values’ based multiple generation legacy planning. He currently is an advisor to celebrities, professional athletes, families, business owners and investors and hosts asset protection workshops regularly in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In his spare time he enjoys outdoors activities and spending time with his family.

W. Scott Blackmer, Esq., JD

Scott Blackmer is an attorney whose practice emphasizes international transactions, investments, and intellectual property licensing while helping clients address emerging legal and management issues related to the development, marketing, and deployment of information technology through counseling and dispute resolutions or legal counsel. He assists companies with prospectuses, private placement memoranda, due diligence, compliance, transactions, litigation, and arbitration in more than 100 countries.

Mr. Blackmer earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors in 1981 from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall), where he was editor-in-chief of the California Law Review.  He is a member of the American Bar Association of the District of Columbia Bar, the Maryland Bar, and the Utah Bar, and he has been a registered foreign lawyer (while resident) in the French Order of the Brussels Bar and the UK Law Society. 

Formerly a partner in the Washington, DC and Brussels offices of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr, Mr. Blackmer now serves on the executive management team of the Brussels-based First Law International legal network.  He also consults on transborder acquisitions and investments and on compliance issues associated with global operations, acts as general counsel to the Trusted Computing Group and serves as a privacy consultant to the US Social Security Administration, and has advised the US Treasury and Commerce Departments, European Commission, Council of Europe, and governments of Japan, Belarus, and Georgia, and the International Monetary Fund on issues relating to communications and information technology industries, e-commerce, information security, privacy, and online financial services. Mr. Blackmer has consulted for Fortune 1000 companies, industry associations, government agencies, and technology-oriented start-ups. He has served on the Executive Management Team of First Law International (Brussels), served on the Board of Directors of the Heracles Group, the International Security, Trust & Privacy Alliance (ISTPA) and participates in the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the ID Theft Special Interest Group of the Liberty Alliance, the Privacy and Computer Crime Committee of the American Bar Association, and the Identity Workshop sponsored by the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School.

Mr. Blackmer is a frequent speaker on cyberlaw, privacy, intellectual property topics and has lectured at universities and workshops in the US, Canada, Japan, England, France, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Argentina, Brazil, and Singapore. He has been listed in several peer-review directories of international legal advisors, including the Legal Media Group’s Guide to the World’s Leading Technology, Media & Telecommunications Lawyers.

Marlowe Ashton, BA, MBA

Marlowe Ashton specializes in private placement memorandums (PPM) development, business plan preparations, early stage company consultations, and strategic alliance training and development for Bridgeway Financial's clientele. His services can assist in raising financial capital for joint ventures, specialized corporate projects, capitalization and investment banking.

Marlowe has been involved in early stage companies for the last 25 years.  After completing graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley he started four companies in the San Francisco Bay Area (Concord).  He then moved his family to Utah to join Novell to manage Corporate, Government and Investor Relations.  During this time, he developed many relationships with major investment banks and  has kept close contact with the analysts and investment bankers of Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Banc Alex Brown, Prudential, T. Rowe Price and Softbank, to name a few.

He was the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Novell, Ray Noorda, for six years.  During that time, he represented Novell on a number of community and national boards such as the Utah Information Technology Association (founder and trustee), Utah Technology Finance Corporation (vice chair), Utah Technology Equity Foundation (chair), Commission for the Economic Development of Orem City (chair), American Electronics Association (Intermountain chapter board), The Utah Coalition for Business and Educational Development, Utah Educational Technology Initiative (vice chair), Utah 2000 – Strategic Planning for Utah, United Way of Utah County, Orem City, Planning Commission (chair), Utah-Russia Institute (trustee), Governor’s State Conference for Business and Economic Development (planning committee) and State of Utah Digital Commerce Legislation (drafting committee).

Marlowe was the COO of the Wayne Brown Institute, the oldest non-profit venture accelerator in the world.  During that time, he personally reviewed 500 early stage technology companies and helped 60 companies obtain initial funding.  He is closely related to numerous venture capital funds in the United States and United Kingdom.  

In 1996, Marlowe received the Greatest Contribution to Entrepreneurs Award by the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum.  He was the Governor of Utah’s special representative to negotiate the Utah-Russia Institute with the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.  In 1996, he traveled to Eastern Siberia as a guest of the US Department of Commerce and the University of Alaska Russia Center to evaluate economic development opportunities.

Marlowe has a BA (English) and MBA (Marketing) from Brigham Young University and completed graduate studies in the PhD Linguistics program at the University of California.  Marlowe lived 3 years in French Polynesia and is the author of an English/Tahitian grammar and dictionary.  Born in Canada, Marlowe speaks French and Tahitian.



ANN GENET, Senior Paralegal

Ann is a graduate of the University of San Diego in the area of Paralegal Studies and attended Pepperdine University 1979-1985.  A well seasoned and experienced paralegal since 1991 and has worked with many individuals clients, corporations, attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors over the past eighteen years in the legal preparation of documents to assist with personal and business asset protection. Ann assisted two attorneys to grow their staff of one to a full service successful law firm of fifteen attorneys and eighteen support staff, with all the duties of a law firm administrator appointed to her, as well as acting as senior paralegal for the law practice from 1991 to 2001.  Ann has provided assistance to clients in most every areas of law, and since moving to Nevada in 2001 her primary focus is in business and corporate estate planning and the preparation of asset protection documentation keeping the best interests of the client in mind.  Prior to being a paralegal, Ann was a very successful licensed realtor from 1985-1991 in both Los Angeles and San Diego Counties, which affords her the knowledge base in the area of real estate transactions of real property and landlord and tenant law.



MICHAEL D. PIERCE, BS - Senior Accountant

Michael D. Pierce holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University and is currently a tax accountant for individual and business tax return preparation. Michael assists in all areas of Internal Revenue Service negotiations, individual and business tax research. He is able to assist clients with IRS installment agreements and Offers in Compromise and is skilled in basic financial planning with emphasis on budgeting preparations. Michael has overall knowledge of personal finance areas including retirement, insurance, taxation and education planning plus review of prior tax returns.



BARBARA H. ROGERS, Accounting

Barbara H. Rogers is presently handling client’s bookkeeping, payrolls and QuickBooks training. Barbara is skilled at handling accounts payables, accounts receivables, payroll and supervision and training of bookkeepers.
